      Lang Co

Located along Vietnam’s celebrated Central Coast Heritage Trail, the beach-side fishing village of Lang Co sits between three UNESCO World Heritage sites — Hue to the north, and Hoi An and My Son to the south.

This hidden gem captivates with pristine white-sand beaches, tranquil lagoons, and emerald mountains rising in the distance. Far removed from the pace of city life, Lang Co offers an authentic glimpse into Vietnam’s cultural heart, where traditional fishing communities and rural landscapes remain beautifully preserved.

      Revolution Express Lang Co Station

The Lang Co Independence Station captures a defining moment in Vietnam’s history — the transition from French colonial rule to national independence. Through architecture, art, and storytelling, it creates a powerful and immersive cultural experience.

A striking French-colonial structure, Lang Co Independence Station features trackside terraces overlooking rolling green hills and the main north-south railway line. Inside, heritage rail exhibits and hand-painted revolutionary murals by local artists bring Vietnam’s past vividly to life.

An air-conditioned restaurant and bar open onto a spacious outdoor terrace, while a boutique gift corner offers locally inspired keepsakes. On arrival, guests are welcomed by live brass music and cultural performances before enjoying a Vietnamese platform lunch featuring regional specialties and market-style cuisine.

Open to all visitors, Lang Co Independence Station offers:

      – All-day café and restaurant dining, indoor and terrace seating
      – Private events, group functions, and celebrations
      – Soft-adventure experiences around Lap An Lagoon and Bach Ma National Park
      – Cultural performances celebrating Lang Co’s fishing heritage

      FOOD & BEVERAGE / RESTAURANT

At Lang Co Independence Station we celebrate the wide array of fresh seafood that makes Lang Co the perfect stopover. From succulent oysters grown in the adjacent Lap An Lagoon right outside our door, to the local fish caught offshore in traditional fishing vessels, there is something for everyone and we embrace local cooking methods handed down over the generations to better savour the sweet tastes. If seafood is not your thing, we also offer a range of other dishes paying homage to the area as well as international favourites.

      Gift Corner

We create the best gift items and mementos through design discussions with local artisans. In Lang Co our gift themes are traditional propaganda and rail related selections. Browse our gift trolleys filled with must-have memories of your trip aboard the Revolution Express

      Live Performances

Our station celebrates independence and with that come traditional brass bands marching along the platform and the haunting tones of Vietnamese female vocalists who sang songs of personal loss and sacrifice during the Vietnam war.

      Activities & Events

Monthly programming brings the station to life with a dynamic calendar of live performances, heritage talks, and themed cultural activities — transforming the space into a vibrant meeting point for history, art, and community.

      Lap An Lagoon Fisherman Experience

Set off on a local wooden boat to explore the quiet beauty of Lap An Lagoon in Lang Co. Your first stop is a fisherman’s hut, a simple shelter standing by the water, where life follows the tide. Here, farmers welcome you to join them in their daily work such as casting nets, lifting traps, and gathering the morning’s catch as they share stories of growing up on the lagoon.
