      Hue City

Once the imperial capital under the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue remains the spiritual heart of Vietnam’s royal heritage. Set along the tranquil Perfume River, this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city reveals majestic citadel walls, the Forbidden Purple City, ornate palaces, sacred temples, and the historic Royal Theatre.

A visit to Hue is a journey into Vietnam’s imperial past — a story of resilience, culture, and identity that lies at the core of the Revolution Express experience.

      REVOLUTION EXPRESS HUE STATION

Discover the beautifully restored 1906 French railway building, now home to the Revolution Express Hue Imperial Station. Blending elegant café, check-in lounge, and active steam workshop, it offers a rare and authentic connection to Vietnam’s living railway heritage.

Meticulously restored to its original splendour, this historic maintenance building — part of the Hue Railway Station for over 120 years — now serves as a refined indoor-outdoor café and guest lounge.

Overlooking the active rail line, workshop pit, and locomotive turntable, guests can witness preparation of the steam train in real time. Interiors feature imperial red and gold tones, Nguyen Dynasty–inspired design, and the gentle sound of traditional Nha Nhac royal music, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance.

Enjoy local Hue delicacies or refreshing drinks as the locomotive rotates on our turntable right before your eyes — or elevate your experience further by joining our crew in the driver’s cabin to shovel coal and sound the iconic steam whistle.

      – Private events, group functions, and curated menus
