      Danang

Danang, the vibrant hub of Vietnam’s central coast and the country’s third-largest city, sits between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Known as the gateway to the UNESCO-listed sites of Hoi An and My Son, Danang combines modern energy with natural coastal beauty.

With its long stretches of pristine beach, warm climate, and welcoming atmosphere, Danang has become one of Vietnam’s most desirable destinations — and a key starting or end point for the Revolution Express journey.

      Revolution Express Danang Station

The upcoming Danang Indochine Station will preserve the character of the original French-colonial railway while introducing a vibrant heritage space for both Revolution Express guests and visitors.

Danang is home to the Revolution Express locomotive maintenance hub, featuring a purpose-built workshop, inspection pits, and operational facilities. Track extensions allow for the turning of steam locomotives via a dedictated turntable.

Plans are underway to transform the station into a heritage-inspired Indochine venue, with interiors reflecting the era of French colonial Indochina. Historic railway prints will trace the evolution of Vietnam Railways through times of war and peace, while uniformed platform staff in traditional white attire evoke the romance of a bygone age.

      FOOD & BEVERAGE / RESTAURANT

The station café will feature a menu inspired by French-Vietnamese culinary fusion — from strong drip coffee and fresh pastries to pâtés and classic Indochine favourites that remain part of Vietnam’s rich food culture today.

      Gift Corner

Inspired by the elegance and adventure of French Indochina, the Da Nang Station gift collection celebrates a bygone era of rail travel. Browse a carefully curated selection of vintage railway posters, nostalgic travel prints, traditional Vietnamese drip coffee sets, and handcrafted souvenirs that reflect the spirit of Central Vietnam. Guests may also discover railway memorabilia, books, postcards, and other treasures inspired by the golden age of steam.

      Live Performances

Step into French-Indochine days of Empire with a live string quartet playing gentle French melodies which waft through the station.

      Activities & Events

Monthly programming brings the station to life with a dynamic calendar of live performances, heritage talks, and themed cultural activities — transforming the space into a vibrant meeting point for history, art, and community.

The Hue – Danang Railway: Conquering the Pass of Hai Van Gate

Before 1906, the Hai Van Pass stood as a formidable natural fortress, separating the quiet Imperial Capital of Hue from the bustling port of Tourane (Da Nang). Trade and travel relied mainly on rugged mountain paths or risky sea voyages.
