Once crafted exclusively for imperial architecture and royal families of the Nguyen Dynasty, this nearly lost craft is now being revived by dedicated local artisans. During your visit, you’ll meet Mr. Triet Do, a renowned expert leading the effort to bring Hue enamel back to life by blending techniques from various handicraft traditions.
Watch the full process of creating these brilliant pieces, from shaping to firing, and try your hand at making one of your own. Lang Co Experiences
LANG CO CULTURAL CYCLING ADVENTURE
Begin your cycling journey along Lap An Lagoon from Lang Co Station and dive into the authentic countryside of Hue. This stunning route leads you through a world where mountains, calm waters, and local life come together in a landscape known as the “small bay within the mountains.”
With our curated route map in hand, you’re free to explore the bay at your own pace. Each time you find and check in at one of the marked spots, you’ll collect a stamp in your Revolution Express Passport, unlocking exciting rewards as you go.
As you ride along the lagoon’s edge, enjoy serene views, cool breezes, and the sight of fishermen casting their nets. Stop by local homes to share a cup of tea and learn about daily life along the coast. This adventure-filled, self-guided experience blends nature, culture, and discovery, making Lap An Lagoon an unmissable part of any Lang Co journey.
LAP AN LAGOON FISHERMAN EXPERIENCE
Set off on a local wooden boat to explore the quiet beauty of Lap An Lagoon in Lang Co. Your first stop is a fisherman’s hut, a simple shelter standing by the water, where life follows the tide. Here, farmers welcome you to join them in their daily work such as casting nets, lifting traps, and gathering the morning’s catch as they share stories of growing up on the lagoon.
Continue across the still waters, where rows of oyster cages float against a backdrop of mountains hidden by drifting clouds. At the farm, learn how oysters are raised, passed down through generations, and taste them straight from the shell, fresh and briny.
Back on shore, take a basket of oysters to our nearby cottage. With a farmer’s harvest in hand, our chef prepares a hearty oyster dish alongside other regional specialties. After the meal, transfer back to Lăng Cô station or your next destination.
Da Nang Experiences
A CULTURAL DAY TO KY ANH TUNNELS
Discover a powerful chapter of Vietnam’s recent history on a cultural journey to the Ky Anh Tunnels, located in Thach Tan village on the southern outskirts of Danang. Begin with a walk through the local community, offering a glimpse into everyday village life before descending into the historic underground tunnel network.
Though only a section of the tunnels has been restored, exploring these hidden passageways provides a moving insight into the resilience and ingenuity of the local community during times of conflict. Discreetly concealed among family homes, the tunnel entrances reveal how deeply history is woven into the fabric of village life.
The experience continues with a visit to the remarkable Heroic Mother Thu statue, honouring Nguyen Thi Thu, who lost 12 children and grandchildren during the Vietnam War. Standing 18.6 metres high and spanning 120 metres in width, this monumental work is a profound tribute to sacrifice, strength, and national spirit.
